Marital Roles Interview!

(the shortest)
(yet tastiest)
(answers ever)

1. What prompted the name Marital Roles?

This fool named trey came up with a list of band names while he was in jail and when he got out he showed us this list. Marital Roles stuck out the most.

2. When did the group join up and what was your goal starting the band?

Marital roles joined sometime in September. We all met over Facebook, I think. I met James at a few shows. Anyways. We just wanted to have fun and play music that means a lot to us. It was weird, we all bonded our first practice (including trey) and wrote a song, flannel flash mob.

3. Where the fuck is the rest of the songs after Jawns?

We've been writing a lot of new shit these past couple of weeks that we're really stoked to unleash. We're just trying to keep them secret to build up hype. We also have a split coming out soonish with our friends Coma Regalia that'll have two new mastered songs on it, one of which has already been released as a rough demo. All in all, there is plenty that will be coming in the very near future.

4. Is there anything like a tour set up for the spring or summer?

We're trying to set up a little summer tour to random places when James and I get out of school for the summer. We're hitting up Michigan and maybe Chicago this spring.

5. What does each person bring to the band, musically?

We all work together and make the guitar and drums sound good. Mostly Grady with guitar and James with drums, but they work together and I write the lyrics and vocal parts.

6. What kind of reaction did you get to your music in your home town rather than the rest of the states?

Well, we can't really answer that because we've never played in another state. Hah.

7. What is coming next?

Within the next month, the split 7" with Coma Regalia. And soon after that, either an EP or a full length.
